Artist Bio – Dixie Ferrer

As a practicing artist for over 40 years, Dixie considers herself to be an intuitive artist. She continues to explore the combined mediums of oil paint, cold wax and collage. Her evolving style speaks of moodiness and tonalism while offering an ethereal interpretation of the the environment she lives in. Her layers of colors are topped off with scratches, scraps, scrubs and carved marks leading the viewer through the surface texture to the hidden colors below. Her latest paintings have been well received through viewings and sales at the Brown County Art Guild and Ferrer Studio. Ferrer Studio, nestled in the woods of Brown County, welcomes visitors, and offers individual and group classes.
