Artist Bio – Tamara Smith

When it comes to art, Tamara has been a “Jack of all trades and master of none”. After raising 3 boys and retiring from teaching, she focused on watercolors, colored pencils, and needle felting.

She has recently been doing watercolors on hymn pages. These seem to resonate with herself and others on an artistic, musical, and spiritual level.
Tamara started delving into colored pencils after seeing an amazing demonstration on painting with colored pencils. She has taken some classes from some of the best artist working in the medium of colored pencils and has been juried into a Midwest and National show.

Felting has been a passion of hers since doing an online tutorial. She loves working with wool because of the versatility of sculpting or making a 2D picture with the wool.

Focusing on and doing workshops and tutorials has helped her grow in these 3 mediums.
